Estimate tanker cargo discharge rate, pumping time, power demand,
energy use, fuel consumption and berth-time cost. Advanced mode
models multiple discharge stages using cargo density, total
dynamic head, pump efficiency, drive efficiency and optional
pump-power limits.

Model approach:
simple-mode throughput equals operating pumps × rated flow
× flow utilization. Advanced-mode hydraulic power is calculated
from cargo density × gravity × actual flow × total dynamic head.
Required input power then accounts for pump and drive efficiency.
If rated pump power is entered, the tool limits modeled flow when
the calculated power requirement exceeds available drive power.
Fuel-equivalent consumption is derived from total kWh × entered
SFOC. Berth-time cost applies to pumping, stripping and other
entered cargo-operation hours.
Planning estimate only.
Actual tanker discharge rates and power demand depend on cargo
viscosity and temperature, vapor pressure, tank geometry, static
head, terminal backpressure, pipeline diameter and length, valve
configuration, pump curves, NPSH, stripping arrangements, pump
wear, hydraulic or electrical system condition, terminal limits,
simultaneous tank operations and cargo-handling procedures.
Do not use this tool to establish safe pump operating points,
maximum discharge pressure, NPSH margin or approved cargo
handling procedures. Use vessel-specific pump curves, terminal
requirements and approved operating manuals for engineering
and operational decisions.
