Fuel Demand, Certified / Rated Flow, Separation Temperature, Heater Duty, Sludge Yield & Redundancy

Marine Fuel Oil Purifier Capacity, Throughput, Heating & Sludge Production Tool

Convert engine fuel demand into the separator flow that must actually be processed. Correct candidate capacity for fuel-specific performance, setpoint and availability, test one-unit-out redundancy, size electric or steam heating duty, estimate separation viscosity from two laboratory points, calculate water / solids / oil-loss sludge volume, predict discharge frequency and sludge-tank endurance, and compare purifier candidates without confusing maximum flow with separation performance.

Fuel & Daily Processing Basis

Separator performance depends on viscosity, density, temperature and feed flow. Manufacturer certified / recommended capacity for the actual fuel should take precedence over generic derating. Lower flow generally improves particle-separation performance.

t/day
Simple mode uses this directly. Advanced mode derives demand from the engine register.

Engine Fuel-Demand Register

Daily consumption is calculated from power × load × SFOC × operating hours × quantity. Use actual measured fuel consumption if it is more reliable than rated-engine assumptions.

System Readiness

Fuel-treatment screening only: This tool is not an OEM separator selection program, EN 17763 certified-flow test, class-approved fuel-system calculation, viscosity laboratory result, heater pressure-vessel design, steam-system design, cat-fine guarantee, purifier interface / gravity-disc selection or sludge-incineration approval. Use the candidate separator maker's certified / recommended capacity for the actual fuel, viscosity and separation target. Biofuel blends and unusual residual fuels may require maker-specific testing and settings.
