Bow & Stern Thruster Sizing, Windage, Thrust, Power & Tunnel Capacity Tool
Turn windage, underwater current load and maneuvering moment into a bow-and-stern thrust requirement. Split force around the vessel's center of rotation, correct for tunnel and forward-speed losses, test candidate thruster kN and kW, screen tunnel geometry and thrust density, check generator reserve, and see where the maneuvering envelope actually runs out.
Vessel & Maneuvering Basis
The environmental-force model is a screening calculation. Project-specific wind and current coefficients, projected areas, centers of effort, tug-assist assumptions and harbor operating limits should come from the naval architect, maneuvering study or operating basis where available.

Thruster Register
Use one row per thruster bank or distinct unit type. Positive lever arm is forward of CG; negative is aft. Rated thrust is static vendor thrust before the entered installation and forward-speed derating. The tool allocates the required bow and stern force to available banks at each end.
| Bank / unit | End | Qty | Reserve | Lever m | Rated thrust kN each | Power kW each | Tunnel loss % | Speed loss % | Drive eff % | Diameter m | Tunnel L m |
