Screen live-bus generator synchronization using voltage, frequency, phase angle and breaker response time, then extend the analysis to reverse-power protection and controlled generator load transfer. Advanced mode models multiple generators, synchronizing attempts and transfer events without replacing the vessel's synchronizer, protection relay, PMS logic or approved settings.

Simple is intentionally a fast live-bus synchronization screen. Reverse-power and load-transfer protection are handled in Advanced mode because they require generator rating, relay settings and transfer timing. Closing authorization remains with the installed synchronizer / sync-check relay and vessel procedure.

Synchronizing Attempt Register

Each row predicts phase angle at breaker-contact touch if a close command is issued at the entered present angle. The ideal command angle compensates for the entered breaker closing time and slip frequency.

Actual breaker-close permissives, reverse-power pickup/delay, generator protection, PMS logic, reactive-power sharing and class/flag acceptance remain controlled by the installed approved system and vessel procedures. Never bypass a sync-check or protective interlock based on this calculation.

Technical basis: IEC 60092-202 remains the ship electrical protection standard, IEC 60092-301:2025 covers ship generators and motors, and IEC 60092-504:2026 covers automation, control, safety and power-management functions. Modern synchronizers compare generator/bus voltage, frequency and phase and may compensate breaker response time before issuing a close command. Reverse-power protection settings are class/OEM/prime-mover specific and are therefore always user-entered here.
