Marine Main Engine Crankshaft Deflection, Main Bearing Alignment & Journal Wear Tool
Screen crankshaft geometry and main-bearing condition using measured web deflections, bearing offsets/clearances and journal diameters. Advanced mode combines multiple crank throws, bearing positions and journal measurements into one alignment and wear condition map while keeping every acceptance limit OEM/user-entered.

Measurement Basis
Crank Web Deflection Register
Enter one consistent set of readings per crank throw. The tool calculates bottom average, vertical and horizontal indices, full reading spread and change from the entered baseline spread. It does not convert those readings into bearing corrections.
| Use | Throw | Bottom P mm | Port mm | Top mm | Starboard mm | Bottom S mm | Baseline spread mm | Max spread mm |

Main Bearing Alignment & Condition Register
Bearing vertical offset is a measured deviation from the selected reference/baseline, not a calculated correction. Clearance and temperature limits are user-entered because engine-specific values vary.
| Use | Bearing | Vertical offset µm | Offset limit µm | Oil clearance mm | Clearance limit mm | Temperature °C | Temp limit °C |

Crankpin / Main Journal Geometry Register
Six diameter readings are used to estimate maximum wear, ovality and axial taper. Ridge-wear screening is kept separate because contact-pattern assessment and repair criteria are OEM-specific.
| Use | Journal | Nominal mm | Fore 0° | Fore 90° | Mid 0° | Mid 90° | Aft 0° | Aft 90° | Wear limit mm | Ovality limit mm | Taper limit mm | Ridge µm | Ridge limit µm |
