DHT Holdings has already booked approximately half of its available fourth-quarter VLCC spot days at an average $509,100 per day, providing one of the clearest company-level indications yet of how the current tanker-market shock is translating into actual owner earnings. The rate is calculated on DHT's discharge-to-discharge basis rather than from broker assessments or individual fixture headlines. DHT estimates its entire fleet earned $141,300 per day in the third quarter, including $167,100 per day for spot VLCCs and $114,200 for time-chartered ships across 2,055 revenue days. For Q4, approximately 78% of all available revenue days are already covered at an average $225,200 per day, including both spot fixtures and time charters.

This is not a broker assessment. It is a company-reported average for actual Q4 spot days already booked on a discharge-to-discharge basis.
How quickly the DHT earnings environment changed
Earlier columns show reported quarterly spot TCE. Q4 2026 is the current forward-booked discharge-to-discharge average on approximately half of available spot days, so it is a market-direction comparison rather than identical accounting treatment.
