Marine Insurance Hull, P&I, Deductible & Claim Reserve Tool
Marine Insurance Hull, P&I, Deductible & Claim Reserve Tool
Screen the insured and retained parts of a marine casualty, compare policy deductibles and limits, reconcile settlement cash, and track open reserves, third-party recoveries and evidence. Insurance response is always provisional until the actual policy, club entry and adjustment are verified.
Claim Heads & Event Register
One financial claim head per row. Rows sharing the same event and insurance class are grouped for one modeled deductible/limit. The low, central and high case estimates must be ordered; this is a case estimate, not an actuarial IBNR calculation.
| Use | Claim head / reference | Event ID | Class | Low USD | Central USD | High USD | Notice date | Status | Evidence |
|---|
Policy & Club Entry Register
User-entered deductible and per-event limit. Coverage fraction is an assumed allocation factor, not a legal coverage finding. Pending entries can be modeled provisionally but create a hold; excluded/not placed entries contribute no modeled indemnity.
| Use | Insurance class | Deductible USD | Per-event limit USD | Modeled covered share % | Placement / status | Terms reviewed |
|---|
Salvage, Subrogation & Third-Party Recoveries
Recovered salvage value and third-party settlements are credits against gross claim cost. They are distinct from salvage-response expenditure, which belongs in the claim-head costs. Expected amounts are adjusted by confidence and capped by the associated claim estimate.
| Use | Claim reference | Recovery source | Estimated USD | Confidence % | Status | Evidence / owner |
|---|
Paid Costs & Receipts Ledger
Cash flows update unpaid gross exposure and outstanding insurer/third-party receivables. Owner-paid costs, insurer cash receipts and third-party cash receipts must not be entered in more than one category.
| Use | Transaction | Claim / event | Amount USD | Settlement date | Confirmed? | Note / reference |
|---|
Claims Evidence, Notice & Action Register
Due dates are entered case-specific dates, not universal notice/time-bar limits. Failed or missing critical evidence requires escalation independent of financial forecasts.
| Use | Requirement / document | Discipline | Critical? | Status | Due date | Owner / document ref. |
