Bulk Grain Cargo Quality, Fumigation, Hold Readiness & Rejection Exposure Tool

Cargo quality · Hold inspection · Grain contracts · Port delay · Claim exposure

Bulk Grain Cargo Quality, Fumigation, Hold Readiness & Rejection Exposure Tool

Translate hold surveys, parcel acceptance, documentary evidence and loading restrictions into a practical loading forecast. Show confirmed cargo readiness separately from unresolved quality findings and potential rejection losses.

Fast cargo-acceptance screen · 12 inputsEnter cargo, holds and port limits. The map provides a planning distribution only; a vessel's grain loading authorization, fumigation procedures, actual stowage and survey acceptance are not certified here.
Hold and parcel operations workbenchSet the cost and cargo envelope here, then use the six registers below to release holds and grain parcels independently. Only a verified condition is treated as confirmed; planned corrective actions do not automatically clear a hold.
Safety and contractual boundary: This is a commercial planning screen, not an official cargo/hold inspection, phytosanitary certificate, fumigation clearance, enclosed-space entry permit, approved grain-loading/stability calculation, or determination of legal rejection. Never use it to decide whether a fumigated space is safe to enter. Only trained, authorized personnel and the competent authorities can verify those requirements. Moisture and grade thresholds must come from the applicable cargo contract and accredited inspection, not a universal tool default.

01 · Cargo Hold Readiness & Capacity

Each hold has independent survey, dryness, hatch-integrity and fumigation-document statuses. “Not required” is a user assertion, not a regulatory exemption. Unverified conditions cannot be counted as confirmed loading capacity.

02 · Grain Lots, Sampling & Acceptance

Use a user-entered contract moisture cap, when one exists; 0 means no numeric cap was entered. A result above the contract cap creates an inspection hold, not an automatic determination of cargo rejection. “Rejected” must be explicitly entered from a verified commercial decision.

03 · Survey Exceptions & Remedial Findings

Critical open findings block the referenced hold until a qualified party records the finding closed. Add survey fees only if not already included in other work/cost inputs.

04 · Corrective Work & Loading Delays

Unclosed critical tasks block the related hold. Enter incremental direct costs separately from hold-preparation allowances. Duration contributes to a scheduling exposure estimate, but completion does not occur automatically when the estimated time elapses.

05 · Berth Loading Windows & Throughput

Day 0 is the start of the assessment. Intervals are inclusive start / exclusive end. Across overlapping windows, the highest effective loading rate applies; rates are not added. “Closed” windows represent interruptions. No capacity is assumed outside the entered windows.

06 · Cargo, Grain Code & Fumigation Evidence

Required checks remain unresolved unless explicitly verified. Hold-specific records affect the corresponding hold; global review items block award/dispatch readiness but do not conceal the physical throughput estimate. Fumigation records do not constitute gas-free clearance or safe-entry approval.
