Offshore Heavy Lift, Crane Spread, Weather Window & Installation Cost Tool

Offshore Heavy Lift, Crane Spread, Weather Window & Installation Cost Tool

Compare entered lift loads and crane-chart capacities, schedule indivisible lifts through weather windows, price marine spreads and diagnose the effect of standby days on campaign budgets. Separate engineering and authority holds from commercial estimates.

Crane utilization Lift-by-lift scheduling Marine spread cost Weather-window calendar Installation scenarios
Rapid offshore lift screen: 12 inputsUse a verified chart rating at the entered radius. Dynamic factors are entered planning assumptions, not universal offshore crane limits. Weather availability estimates average workable time, not an uninterrupted certified lift window.
Multi-lift installation campaignThe six registers below organize cranes, individual lift packages, entered weather days, outside expenses, activity constraints and critical approvals. Each modeled lift must fit within a single continuous weather work window.
Engineering boundary: This tool cannot derive offshore dynamic factors, prove crane chart suitability, analyze overturning/stability/heel, rigging leg forces, seafastening, DP, hook clearances, splash-zone or tandem lifts, or certify a weather forecast. Engineering calculations, procedures, inspections, marine warranty and operating authority remain separate from its screening results.

Offshore Crane & Marine Spread Register

One row per crane or crane-vessel package. The day rate is an incremental contracted asset cost, not the support-vessel rate entered above. Refer to each row by its visible 1-based row number in the lift register. Unverified cranes cannot be scheduled.

Lift Packages, Rigging & Load-Chart Screening

Gross hook load = (lifted object + rigging) × user-entered dynamic factor. SWL is the applicable chart capacity at this lift's entered radius; this tool performs no capacity/radius interpolation. Unit cycles must each fit a single uninterrupted eligible day.

Weather & Working Window Register

Weather-day entries are hypothetical or user-entered forecasts. Each selected day supplies a continuous workable-hours budget. If no matching day exists, the scheduler will not assume good weather. Conditions exceeding either the project or lift-specific limits prevent that lift on that day.

Ancillary Installation & Cost Register

Use for project-specific one-off provisions not included in quoted crane rates or daily support-vessel charges. The cost is included in the budget even when the schedule remains incomplete, and is not itself an approved supplier invoice.

Activity & Installation Constraint Register

Enter project hold days such as seabed preparation, survey, permits or interface handover. These block all crane operations on the entered day, but do not represent a safety-approved work method.

Engineering, Marine Warranty & Execution Readiness

Critical pending or failed items create an execution hold even if modeled load utilization and economics appear favorable. "Verified" is an entered status, not a certification by this tool.
