Stowage Factor & Full-and-Down Tool Cargo Volume, Weight & Hold Capacity
Calculate cargo stowage factor relationships, determine whether a cargo is space-limited or deadweight-limited, find maximum cargo intake, and solve two-cargo Full-and-Down combinations. Simple mode answers the single-cargo intake question quickly. Advanced adds grain/bale capacity, a hold register, cargo-specific broken stowage, exact two-cargo Full-and-Down mathematics, cargo-availability constraints, revenue or tonnage optimization, sensitivity analysis and unused cube/deadweight diagnostics.
Fast Cargo Intake Screen
Broken stowage is treated as unusable hold space. The tool calculates usable volume = gross cargo-space volume × (1 − broken stowage %).
Vessel Cargo Capacity
Hold Register
Used only when “Sum hold register” is selected. Enter grain and bale cubic for each hold. Optional hold weight limits are aggregated only when every entered hold has a positive weight limit.
| Hold | Grain capacity | Bale capacity | Max cargo weight |

Two-Cargo Full-and-Down Solver
For mixed cargoes, broken stowage is converted into an effective space demand: effective SF = stated SF ÷ (1 − broken stowage). This avoids double-counting the same lost space.
