Bunker Quantity & Bunker Survey Calculator

Convert observed bunker volume to standard volume and commercial tonnes, compare surveyed quantity with the Bunker Delivery Note, and quantify any variance. Simple mode handles one received parcel quickly. Advanced adds tank-by-tank before/after gauging, individual temperatures and densities, manual VCF overrides, free-water deductions, operational adjustments, MFM and supplier-outturn cross-checks, sensitivity analysis and survey-readiness diagnostics.

Fast Bunker Quantity Screen

Enter the received observed volume after using the vessel’s approved tank calibration and trim/list corrections. Simple mode applies an ISO 91 / API MPMS generalized-products VCF screening calculation and converts density in vacuum to commercial weight in air.

Receiving Tank Register

Enter tank volumes already obtained from the vessel’s approved calibration tables with trim/list correction applied. Before and after states are corrected separately because temperature and density may differ. In Auto mode the VCF fields are calculated and locked; switch to Manual VCF to enter approved factors directly.

Operational Quantity Adjustments

These adjustments reconcile measured tank gain to delivered quantity. Keep them at zero when no such movements occurred.

t added from another source besides the bunker delivery.

Survey Readiness

Measurement limitation: this calculator does not replace the locally required custody-transfer method, a certified mass-flow-meter system, approved tank calibration tables, joint gauging, or an independent bunker quantity survey. Quantity disputes depend on the full contemporaneous record. For a commercial claim, verify VCF/CTL with approved measurement tables or software and follow the applicable contract, port rules and survey procedure.
