Cargo Securing & Lashing MSL Calculator

Screen non-standardized cargo securing from certified lashing strength through sliding and tipping resistance. Convert breaking strength to MSL where permitted, apply the Annex 13 calculated-strength safety factor, resolve lashing geometry, compare port/starboard and fore/aft capacity, and identify the equipment, documentation or heavy-weather gaps that should be closed before sailing.

The ship's approved Cargo Securing Manual, approved lashing software where applicable, class/flag requirements, certified MSL/SWL markings, actual deck/fitting strength, cargo-specific sea-fastening design, voyage weather criteria and the Master's judgment control. The CSS Annex 13 acceleration tables and correction factors are ship/stow specific; this calculator therefore requires approved acceleration factors or approved design forces rather than inventing universal values.
