Voyage P&L, Time Charter Equivalent, Break-Even Freight, Target TCE, Bunker Exposure, Voyage Clock & Scenario Sensitivity

Voyage Profit & TCE Calculator

Turn a voyage fixture into a commercial earnings screen. Simple mode converts freight revenue and total voyage costs into TCE, after-OPEX voyage profit, break-even freight and the freight rate needed to hit a target TCE. Advanced mode builds the voyage clock and bunker bill from laden, ballast, port and delay assumptions, then stress-tests the fixture across freight, fuel and delay scenarios.

Simple Voyage Economics

Exactly ten core inputs. Use one currency consistently throughout the calculation.

MT.
Currency per MT.
Include ballast, laden, port and expected delay days in the commercial voyage clock.
% of freight revenue in Simple mode.
Regulatory, war risk, extra insurance and other voyage-specific costs.
Optional commercial revenue outside base freight.
Used only for after-OPEX profit, not deducted from TCE.
Currency/day commercial benchmark.

Revenue & Commercial Terms

Choose rate-per-tonne or lumpsum freight. Cargo quantity remains required so the tool can calculate equivalent break-even and target freight rates.

Used only when lumpsum basis is selected.

Separate from TCE numerator.

Voyage Clock

Sea days are distance divided by 24 x speed, then increased by the entered sea-time allowance. The allowance is a commercial planning input, not a weather-routing model.

Scenario Register

Stress-test freight, bunker prices, delay and one-time voyage costs. Scenario labels are categorical so no vessel, route or customer identifiers are collected.

Commercial estimate only: TCE conventions vary by company, pool, charterparty and reporting basis. This calculator treats TCE as net voyage earnings before vessel OPEX divided by the modeled voyage days. Daily vessel OPEX is shown separately for an estimated after-OPEX voyage result. Capital costs, debt service, depreciation, drydock, tax, off-hire and company overhead are not automatically deducted. Currency selection changes the display and stored currency code only; no FX conversion is performed.
